Spears recently completed a 30-day program in a mental health facility.
In early April, Britney Spears checked herself into a mental health facility following news that her father, Jamie Spears, was going through serious health complications. While in the 30-day treatment program, there were rumors that the pop star was being held against her will, prompting superfans to protest for her release. Assuring her followers that she was doing just fine, she shared a video on Instagram.
“All is well,” Spears said. “My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately so I just needed time to deal, but don’t worry, I’ll be back very soon.” The public praised Spears for facing her issues head-on, and at the end of April, she completed the program. One person who was silently supporting Spears through her difficult time was rapper Cardi B who told Entertainment Tonight that she sympathizes with the singer.

“I love you and I totally understand,” she said at her Fashion Nova event in Hollywood. “Once you have money, everybody just wants to take it from you, or sometimes you just have, like, your own personal problems.” She added, “When you’re a celebrity, everyone wants to sue you, everyone wants a piece of the money that you work for — and it’s very frustrating. Then you have, like, the whole world looking at you, no privacy, it’s crazy. I can’t even imagine if you do it for such a long time like her.”

I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said. I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me. Don’t believe everything you read and hear. These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago… I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address. My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment 🌸🌸🌸 You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want! Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you ❤️❤️❤️
