Several months after the Philadephia 76ers faithful breathed a collective sigh of relief when Kendall Jenner and Ben Simmons ended things, fans may be in for quite a surprise as it seems that the Sixers star and supermodel could be back on.
Here’s what Jenner did that has people talking and assuming they’re back together now.
When and why they broke up
Simmons and the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star reportedly starting dating in the spring of 2018 after she and another basketball star, Blake Griffin, called it quits. The two were on and off for a year before breaking up for good (or so we thought) in May 2019.
“Ben and Kendall split recently before the Met Gala. They are still on fine terms and have been in touch,” an insider told E! News at the time, adding that the distance between the reality star, who lives in LA, and the Philadelphia 76ers point guard “was getting to be a lot.”
“She cares about Ben and always wants to end her relationships on good terms,” the source continued. “Kendall knew she had several out of the country trips coming up and thought it would be best if they took some space. It’s been hard for them with the time differences and both of their schedules but there is a chance they will get back together.”
Well, now it appears that chance has come.
What Jenner did that has fans believing they’re back together now
On Friday, Dec. 13, the 76ers took on the New Orleans Pelicans at the Wells Fargo Center, and a number of fans hopped on social media to reveal that they spotted Jenner at the game. This time though the runway model wasn’t sitting courtside like she had done in the past but instead was seen watching the game from a box seat.
Because Jenner reportedly attended the game with some of Simmons’ friends has fans thinking they’re definitely back on. It certainly wouldn’t make sense for her to even be at the game with anyone he associates with if they weren’t seeing each other again at least casually.
Moreover, The Philadelphia Inquirer noted that local paparazzo HughE Dillon claimed that following the game the pair had dinner at a Philly restaurant called the Double Knot, a spot in the city they have dined at in the past.
The news of “Bendall” possibly being a thing again comes two weeks after reports swirled that Simmons had his eye on BBC Radio 1 DJ Maya Jama, who just got out of a four-year relationship with rapper Stormzy.
“Maya has not long been single, so she and Ben are taking time to get to know each other and see if there’s a real spark,” a source said before adding, “But Kendall coming back on the scene could derail any blossoming romance.”
According to the Daily Mail, Jenner decided she wanted her former beau back because she just couldn’t “bear to see him with anyone else.”
